GPS Algebra Support Classes
We spent the class period reviewing Analyzing Conditional Statements. We used our Notetaking Guide to review the vocabulary. You were provided the definition of the following to write on page 220 in your Notetaking Guide:
Conditional statement
If-then form
Hypothesis
Conclusion
Negation
Converse
Inverse
Contrapositive
Equivalent statements
Perpendicular lines
Biconditional statements
We then practiced rewriting conditional statements in if-then form and writing the converse, inverse, and contrapositive of conditional statements.
I did # 1 on page 224 with you. You were to complete # 2-4 on your own. We went over the solutions to these. I then did # 5 with you and you were to complete # 6 on your own. We will go over this problem tomorrow at the beginning of class.
GPS Algebra Classes
When you walked in the room, there was a conditional statement ready for you to write the converse, inverse, and contrapositive of. You were given a chance to complete this, compare your answers, and then we went over the solutions together in class.
We then finished the notes on Analyzing Conditional Statements. This is Lesson 4.3 and begins in your textbook on page 204.
The homework assignment for today is: Page 207 # 1-3 and 5-10 all.
*Remember to write the original problems from the textbook onto your paper.
