GPS Algebra Support Classes
We spent a few minutes reviewing the different types of Transformations of Linear Functions. You were given a Transformation of Linear Functions Practice Worksheet to complete in class. The solutions for # 1-6 were gone over by students writing the answers on the document camera. We went over # 7 and 8 together as a class.
The In Class 1.2 Practice Worksheet was returned to you. I explained how the assignment was graded and went over the correct answers in class.
You were reminded to bring your Spiral Notebook to class both tomorrow and Thursday as it will be collected and graded one of these days.
You also need to make sure to have your Textbook and Final Exam Review Packet with you in class each day so if there is any time available you can continue to work on this assignment.
GPS Algebra Classes
You were given a handout for the Notes on Interval Notation. We went through the notes together in class. You were to complete # 1-3 on the back individually, then compare with another student, and then I called on students to give the answer. You then were to complete # 4-6 on the back individually and compare with someone sitting around you. I called on students to work out # 4-6 on the document camera.
We then reviewed domain and range and discussed how to write the domain and range of a function in interval notation. For the domain (x) you look from left to right on the graph and for the range (y) you look from down to up on the graph.
I handed out the Domain and Range Worksheet and we used the back of the handout to go through two examples just like those on the homework assignment.
You were able to begin the Domain and Range Worksheet in class.
The homework assignment is to complete the Domain and Range Worksheet.
*Make sure to bring your textbook to class tomorrow as you will need it to review for the Unit 3 Quiz #1.
