GPS Algebra Support Classes
The remaining 11 problems from the Solving Equations by Factoring Practice Worksheet were presented in class by students.
We spent the rest of the time reviewing Rational Expressions. We went over four problems that reviewed:
1) Multiplying Rational Expressions
2) Dividing Rational Expressions
3) Subtracting Rational Expressions with a like denominator
4) Adding Rational Expressions with an unlike denominator
We will continue to review Rational Expressions and Equations tomorrow. Bring any specific questions with you to class.

When you entered the room there was a note on the document camera to turn in your homework from yesterday (page 144 # 10-18 all). This assignment will be graded for completion.
We then went through the notes on Solving Radical Equations. This is Lesson 3.5, which begins on page 146 in the textbook. You were given a handout for the notes. The handout included the steps to take to solve a radical equation as well as six examples that we went through together in class.
The rest of the class time was spent reviewing for the Rational Expressions Quiz, which is tomorrow. We went through and listed all of the topics that we covered for rationals. They included:
1) Simplifying Rational Expressions
2) Multiplying Rational Expressions
3) Dividing Rational Expressions
4) Adding Rational Expressions with Like Denominators
5) Subtracting Rational Expressions with Like Denominators
6) Adding Rational Expressions with Unlike Denominators
7) Subtracting Rational Expressions with Unlike Denominators
8) Solving Rational Equations (by cross multiplying and multiplying by the LCD)
9) Finding Excluded Values
The homework assignment for today is: Page 148 # 13-29 odd.
*Remember to check your answers in the back of the textbook and redo any that you missed.
